House trained: Mostly, with an occasional accident Energy level: Medium Noise level: Barks to alert My foster guardian says: My favorite thing about Bambi is how smart she is, and what a faster learner she is! Likes: Walks, playing at the dog park, zoomies, chewing on toys Hi, Im Bambi! My foster says that Im a loving girl who is super smart, and social with other dogs! One of my favorite things to do is go to the dog park and see my dog friends! I especially love when other pups have my same energy level, and want to run and wrestle just as much as me! Im learning how to pick up on doggy social cues when other dogs dont want to play, but Im super better at this everyday, and Im super friendly with every dog I meet. I dont like loud noises or crowds and I can be unsure about strangers. The good news is that I warm up to new people as soon as I can get a couple of sniffs in to make sure they pass the vibe check, and I 100% love my people. My foster family thinks that as I continue to settle in (after all, I only just moved to D.C.!), Ill gain confidence and come out of my shell a bit more. During the day I like to go on walks, play at the park, chew on my toys, train and eat snacks, snooze near my foster mom while she works, and cuddle with everybody on the couch. So far, the tricks I know are sit, come, off, and leave it. Very practical, right? I like training, and Im really quick at picking things up, so Id love to learn lots more with my forever family. Im also practicing spending time alone in my crate, and walking on leash without pulling. All the typical puppy stuff! Id be a great fit for a family where I could have a doggy sibling, or who are excited to take me on adventures! Could that be with you? Apply to adopt me today! Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Additional adoption info
Adoption area is Washington, D.C area, including Northern Virginia and Maryland. All adoptions require a completed adoption application. Our adoption coordinators will contact you soon after reviewing the application. Our adoption fee is $450 to help off set the costs of rescuing dogs in need. All dogs go to their new homes spayed or neutered, up to date on all shots, wormed (although a 2nd worming may be required), started on heart worm and flea and tick preventative and sometimes microchipped.
Although we try to be as accurate as possible, Rural Dog Rescue cannot guarantee the breed or full-grown adult size of any of the dogs or puppies in its care. Because many of these dogs were found as strays or are the result of irresponsible, unplanned breeding, we do not know the dog's exact background and can only list breed and size by our best educated guess. If exact breed and size are important to you, please consider adopting a dog from a specific breed rescue. We want our dogs to be adopted by people who will love and care for them forever for who they are - no matter what breed and size they turn out to be!

Mission Statement: Forever true to The Underdog, Rural Dog Rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in shelters who are often overlooked for adoption or rescue.
