Ahoy, Mateys! Meet Captain Jack! We`re putting out an SOS for a loving home for our seriously handsome one-year-old Pitbull Mix, Captain Jack! As you might guess from his name and his recent history, this guy is a true adventurer—he was recently surrendered because of his ambitious escape habits. But don`t worry, we promise he`s ready to drop anchor in a secure, loving home! We just need someone who can outsmart a very clever dog! Why Captain Jack Needs You: A True Softie While he might be a little nervous when first meeting new humans (a good reason to come prepared with tasty treats!), give him just a little time to adjust, and you`ll find he is a total softie through and through! Forget the high seas; all Captain Jack really wants is a cozy couch and endless belly rubs. His Resume is Stellar: Age: 1 year old Breed: Pitbull Mix Previous Experience: He has successfully co-existed with other dogs, children, men, and women! Talk about a well-rounded crew! Talents: He absolutely adores toys and will happily entertain himself (or you!) for hours. Plus, he already knows some basic obedience commands—he`s smart and ready to learn more! Navigating Companion Ships (Other Dogs) While he`s totally focused on his toy stash and doesn`t pay much attention to the other dogs here at the shelter, we think he`d do best with a specific type of companion. Due to a few unfortunate `run-ins` with intact males during his previous adventures, Captain Jack is likely seeking a calm, spayed lady dog companion who can show him the ropes of domestic bliss! Set Sail for Forever! This amazing guy is truly just a Captain waiting for his ship to come in and sail him out of the shelter and into his forever home. He`s a loyal, loving, and funny companion who is ready to flourish under your love and care. All he asks is for an extremely secure fence (we`re talking Fort Knox levels!) or someone committed to keeping him safe on a leash, so his adventuring days are kept to walks and playtime! Ready to be Captain Jack’s First Mate? Please give us a call or stop by the shelter during visiting hours to meet this incredible boy! Let`s get this handsome pirate his permanent treasure chest!
