Hi, my name was Aidan when I came to Big Bones the first time, but my first family had a lot of nicknames for me so I wasn’t sure what to come to. My foster Dad called me Gizmo because of my ears (or so he tells me) and I came running to him! Ok, so…Hi my name is Aiden aka Gizmo! I am an 11 month old Labrador Mix, but I am turning 1 years old next month (11/22) and cannot wait! I am back at Big Bones through no fault of my own staying with my foster family in Green Valley Ranch by the airport. I do have a lot of energy which I like to spend on walks (if your a runner I am sure I could learn quickly how to run with you), chewing on my toys, chasing balls is fun although I’m not sure how to bring it back quite yet, and following my foster mom around. When I want to relax I love to be next to people, I tried to lay next to my foster mom’s dog but I guess she’s not a cuddler. . I love car ride’s although I’m not the best at jumping into the car and sometimes need help. I get along great with other dogs and my foster sister has a cat which I have never seen before, that thing is weird and just hisses at me but maybe if I just keep my distance…I am house broken but will have accidents in the morning if I have to wait to long. I am also a total goofball who does not know how big he is so i bump and run into everything (I have my very own large crate too!). Please put in an application for me if you would like to know anything more, I would love to find my furever home by my birthday!

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
