Kai is a wonderful, energetic dog with a big heart. She’s smart, affectionate, and very food motivated, you can teach her just about anything with a treat in hand! I’ve had Kai for three years after adopting her from the Indy Humane Society, and she’s been an absolute blessing. Unfortunately, with my new work schedule, she’s alone 14–15 hours a day, and that’s not fair to her. She deserves a home where she’ll get plenty of love, attention, and activity. Kai is house-trained and knows basic commands, though she could use a bit more obedience work, especially around guests and on walks. She can be anxious at times and will do best as the only dog until she has more social training.
Please only consider adopting Kai if you’re ready to commit to her for the long term. Someone adopted her recently, but it didn’t work out because of another dog in the home. It was incredibly hard for me to let her go once, I never wanted to do it again, but I truly believe this is the best decision for her.
