Meet Artie! A purebred Chinese Crested Powderpuff
Artie was surrendered to Rico Pet Recovery when his owner realized she couldnt give him everything he needed. She wanted him to have the happy, full life he truly deserves.
When Artie arrived, he was severely matted and covered in fleas but thanks to the kindness of a local groomer at Barking Dogs, Wagging Tails, he was transformed into a whole new dog!
Artie is a year old and has made great progress in his social skills in the loving home of his foster. Artie is still a little nervous meeting new people but he has now learned that people bring treats and gentle touch and he warms up quickly. Artie has been great with other dogs and cats. Artie does well walking on leash. He is still working on his house training skills but he is nearly 100% there. Artie does not love being crated so his foster gives him the free roam of the house. He has never chewed on anything other than his doggy toys and chew bones and he is not destructive. If he needs to be home for alone for long periods of time, he can wear a doggy diaper and tolerates them well.
This sweet boy just needs a patient person and a cozy lap to call his own. With love, structure, and time, Artie will continue to blossom into the happy, confident companion hes meant to be.
A fenced yard is preferred, but is not required. Artie has been neutered and is up to date on his shots.

The adoption fee for Artie is $250. The fee includes the neuter, microchip and two sets of shots at our partner veterinarian. We have his pedigree papers.
