I’m the handsome black kitten of the family—and the athlete of the bunch! I’m always on the go, ready to chase, pounce, and show off my amazing jumping skills. My favorite toy is the teaser wand—it really lets me show off my moves!
I’m a happy little guy who chirps when I’m excited and never forgets to remind you when it’s time to eat. I might be a bit shyer than my sister, Dora, but once I warm up, I’m playful, affectionate, and full of life.
I’d love to be adopted with my sister, but I’d also be perfectly happy in a home with another young, friendly kitty to play with.
If you’re looking for a sweet, active kitten with a big personality and an even bigger heart, I’m your boy!
Cricket is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
