My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Billy Bob Thornton was brought in by his previous owner on September 28, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Billy Bob Thornton is a special boy with a big heart who came to us from a multi-cat household. Because he truly thrives with feline companionship, he'll need another cat friend in his new home! Billy Bob has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a congenital condition that affects his coordination and balance, giving him an adorable wobble when he walks. While CH is not painful, it does mean he'll need a home that can keep him safe, quiet, and free from too much hustle and bustle. He would do best in a home without young children, where he can take his time to settle in and have a safe space to call his own. This sweet boy may move a little differently, but he has just as much love to give-and is ready to wobble his way into your heart. Don't forget to bring a cat carrier for a safe ride home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
