Meet Jessica
4 years old | Spayed female | 5.3kg | 26cm | Mixed breed | Beige
Rescue Story
Jessica was rescued in October 2023 from a dog farm in Wanju.
In July 2024, she moved to her foster home and began a new chapter in safety and love. Later that year, she was diagnosed with ectopic ureter (a congenital urethral malformation) after showing signs of urinary incontinence. She underwent corrective surgery and received continuous treatment for about 10 months due to complications involving granulation tissue in the bladder that affected her kidneys. After long-term catheter management and antibiotics, she has now made a full recovery — living a completely normal, happy life.
Socialization with People
Jessica can be shy at first and may avoid strangers, but she allows gentle petting and handling, even from new people. Once she opens up, she becomes a sweet and affectionate little girl who enjoys showing her belly.
She does best with experienced dog owners who understand how to give her space and time to adjust. Because she prefers to relieve herself frequently, she would thrive in a home with a yard or one that provides frequent outdoor walks.
Socialization with Dogs
Jessica is friendly and polite with other dogs — she loves to greet and briefly play, then usually retreats to enjoy her own quiet time. She’s tolerant toward larger dogs but avoids overly energetic ones. Overall, she gets along well with most dogs without any conflicts.
With Cats
She can live with cats and can be tested further if needed.
Energy Level
Low — calm, gentle, and enjoys peaceful rest over constant activity.
Walking Manners
Jessica walks beautifully on leash without pulling. When walking with a new person, her tail may stay down initially, but as she feels more comfortable, she starts to wag happily. She’s calm around joggers, kids, scooters, and other everyday noises or movements.
Other Notes
She doesn’t guard food from people or dogs, has no separation anxiety, and does not bark unnecessarily. She’s quiet and relaxed in both car rides and kennels.
Currently, she’s house-trained to use pads at night and goes outdoors during the day.
Summary
Jessica is a resilient and gentle soul who’s overcome an incredible medical journey and now simply wants a calm, loving home. She’ll be the perfect match for someone who values quiet companionship, gentle affection, and a peaceful life together.
