My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Telehandler!

This curious little guy is always watching, always learning, and always ready to be part of the action! Telehandler is the type of kitten who wants to know exactly what you’re doing — whether you`re tying your shoes (which he’ll try to untie!) or just walking by with something interesting in your hands. His bright eyes and curious spirit make him the perfect little sidekick.

Much like his momma, Telehandler is all about attention. He thrives on love and will happily soak up all the pets and snuggles you’re willing to give. When playtime hits, he’s a whirlwind of fun — tossing toys, pouncing, and pulling on anything that moves (especially your shoelaces!). But once he’s worn out, he’s ready to curl up in your lap or snuggle close to his siblings for a well-earned nap.

Telehandler is part of a litter whose mother is FIV-positive. Because kittens carry their mother`s antibodies, we won’t know his true FIV status until he’s about 6 months old. At that point, he can be accurately tested for FIV/FeLV. Until then, we’re treating Telehandler and his siblings as if they are FIV-positive — this means he should either be adopted with a sibling or be the only cat in the home (just to be safe).

Telehandler is spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
