Gracie may be on the smaller size, but she’s got a big heart and an even bigger personality! She`s great on a leash and, with her size, very easy to handle.
Gracie sits nicely for a treat and takes them gently when reminded — but if you take too long to give her that snack, she`ll show off some adorable dance moves on her back legs to beg for your attention.
She has a mild limp from some chronic joint changes, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. Her condition will require lifelong medication to keep her comfortable. Gracie’s all about love, cuddles, and kisses, and she’ll make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a smaller, affectionate friend who’s full of life.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
