Say “Hi” to Misty!
Misty is a 3.5-year-old Siberian Husky with the cutest facial markings. She is a medium-sized girl, at 48 lbs., with moderate energy levels. She is also professional love-bug, expert floor tile lounger, and part-time princess looking for her forever home.
Although her personality is big, Misty is one of the quietest Huskies you will ever meet. She is not a howler, barker, or yapper. She will use a pet door, and walks nicely on a leash. She is mostly housebroken (she is learning to be an indoor dog again), and knows she must potty outside. She currently lives with several foster brothers and sisters, so she is great with other dogs in the home. Misty has also met the neighbors’ dogs on walks, and each one has passed the sniff test with flying colors.
Some of Misty’s best traits include being calm and relaxed, loving to simply lounge next to her human on her pet bed, and being gentle and non-aggressive. She is naturally curious and inquisitive. She loves to visually track the squirrels and deer in the woods around her foster home. However, she pays attention to her foster mom. For example, she comes when called, and will stop when told “no.” She knows basic commands like “sit.” During playtime, Misty loves to play fetch, and will chase and retrieve her favorite tennis ball thrown to her. 😊
Basically, Misty is a total fur baby, who believes that receiving belly rubs and treats, and giving doggy kisses should be a full-time activity. She is a beautiful, calm, and lovable girl who just wants a human (or two) to adore forever.
If you’re looking for a sweet, regal sidekick with stunning blue eyes and a soft heart, Misty is your girl! She is being fostered in Dublin, GA. through Releashed Rescue

The way the adoption works is you complete an application, which we review. If you have had previous pets (like a cat or other dogs) we do a vet check to ensure they are up to date on shots etc. Then the last step is a home visit to basically ensure there are no obvious dangers for the dog in the home. The fee is $100.

More about this rescue
Releashed Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes.
Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program. Our goal is to find the right family to love and care for the animals for their lifetime.
Releashed Rescue has a vision of a world where animals are not killed because they are inconvenient. Instead, we hope to educate the public about pet over-population, spay , neuter, humane treatment of animals and how animals can enrich the lives of people including the elderly, children and those with disabilities.
