Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**AVAILABLE FROM FOSTER CARE** Declawed and MUST be strictly indoors.
🐾 Meet Schro – Your Loyal, Gentle Companion
✨ About Schro: Schro is a handsome black and white domestic medium hair male with the softest coat – and he knows it! He loves being brushed daily, which keeps his beautiful fur looking its best and helps him feel calm and cared for. He loves his daily treats that he loves to catch.
🐱 Personality: Schro is affectionate, gentle, and bonds deeply with his trusted humans. He enjoys chin scratches, quiet conversation, and napping in his cozy favorite spots. While he has some anxiety around new surroundings, he feels safe and content in a calm, routine-based home.
🏡 Ideal Home: • Quiet, stable environment • Must be the only pet (he prefers having his human’s love all to himself) • An adopter who will continue his daily anxiety medication (Clomicalm & calming treats) to keep him feeling secure • Someone who enjoys doing daily brushing sessions to keep him looking dapper • Schro does well with an automatic feeder to help support his daily routine
💊 Special Care: Schro takes daily medication for anxiety, which has helped him thrive in foster care. His adopter should be comfortable maintaining this simple daily routine to support his well being.
❤️ Why Schro? He is a loyal, loving companion looking for someone who understands his gentle soul and is ready to give him the quiet, affectionate life he deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet cat to share peaceful days and cozy evenings, Schro is ready to meet you and become your best friend.

More about this rescue
Abandoned Animal Rescue is a no-kill dog / cat shelter located in Magnolia serving Northwest Harris and Southern Montgomery Counties in Texas. It is staffed by dedicated volunteers devoted to saving the lives of homeless and unwanted companion animals.
AAR's mission is to work towards ending pet overpopulation that results in the euthanasia of unwanted cats and dogs. We do this by providing a rescue and adoption center, by emphasizing the importance of spaying and neutering and by educating on humane animal ownership. AAR is committed to the emotional, physical, and behavioral well being of each animal in our care.
All animals surrendered to the shelter are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and wormed; dogs are tested for heartworms and, if positive, are treated prior to adoption.
All operating money for AAR comes from
clinic and adoption fees, donations, and fundraisers. AAR receives no government money or assistance.
