Jaxx came to us with a microchip, but sadly his owners haven`t responded to us and no one has come forward to reclaim him. He’s a calm, independent soul who seems content doing his own thing. He`s easy to leash up and polite overall, but he does pull a bit on walks — mostly just because he loves stopping to sniff every interesting scent along the way. He can be quite the super sniffer! In the play yard, Jaxx is not particularly toy driven and sometimes passes on treats, but he’ll gently take one from your hand when he’s in the mood. With his mellow energy and curious nature, Jaxx would do best in a home that appreciates a quiet companion who’s happy to just hang out and explore the world nose first.

More about this shelter
We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
We hope that you will find your new love at our shelter - we always have so many to choose from!
