My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say howdy to ROWDY, one of the sweetest kittens around. Rowdy is a friendly and playful all-black boy who doesn’t let his missing eye stop him from enjoying life. His favorite pastimes include snuggling, playing, and exploring the world with his harness and leash. While he enjoys supervised time on a leash in the great outdoors, he’s never tried to run off unattended and tends to stick close to the people he knows. Rowdy warms up quickly to new situations and enjoys the company of humans as well as other cats. As an active, young kitten, it’s important that Rowdy be adopted into a home with another kitten or playful young cat. He came to our cat rescue after being found as a stray behind a Good Samaritan’s workplace in need of immediate medical attention for his eye. He responded well to surgery to remove the eye, and is now a healthy and happy kitten looking to live his best life with a family who loves him!

ROWDY has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Rowdy in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $175 ($320/2 kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2507-C0227

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
