Meet Rune! 💜🐾
Rune’s story has come full circle. He was adopted from us as a puppy, but after being rehomed, he was sadly found running stray. Thankfully, Animal Care Services scanned his microchip and gave us a call — and we were thrilled to welcome him back to safety.

Now 5 years old and weighing 80 pounds, Rune is the definition of a gentle giant. With his Great Dane head, ridgeback body, and deep hound bay, he’s truly one of a kind! Rune is calm, affectionate, and loves to loaf around soaking up attention. He’s housebroken, great with other dogs, and has a heart as big as his paws.

Rune deserves a forever home that will love him for life — no more uncertainty, just belly rubs, soft beds, and endless love. If you’ve been waiting for a big, happy, loyal hunk of a dog, Rune is your guy! 💜

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, health certificate and transportation.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
