My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cowboy is an approximately 5 month old, 33 lbs. Dutch Shepherd X puppy. Him and his sister came to us from a foster in CA who rescued them from a backyard where they were kept with their mother, who is a Dutch Shepherd. Dad is unknown. Cowboy is amazing and is a well-balanced dog. He has no fear issues; is confident in most situations, super sweet with the people he knows, and has done outstanding with his training. He is crate and potty trained, knows "sit" and "down", knows the "place" command, walks pretty well on leash, is neutral out on the walk with guidance from his handler, does well with other dogs with appropriate introductions, and did well meeting our kitty. He is not a barker and is quiet in his crate and simply does amazing. Cowboy is a medium energy dog who would benefit from a more active home that can continue with the structure, boundaries, and guidance he requires to grow into a well-mannered adult dog. Cowboy loves his people and creates a strong bond with them and has also been friendly with strangers when introduced in an appropriate manner. He has a more independent nature and is affectionate with the ones he knows and trusts. He is highly food motivated and LOVES to work for his food. He is a breeze to train and so, so smart. He likes to play tug every once in a while and have some fun chewing on some good bones. He's a super great dog and will be a pleasure for the right home.

All of our adult dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. They all receive training to make the transition as successful as possible.
