My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dora is a tuxedo cutie with a curious heart and a gentle soul. She’s not one to make a fuss except for her happy purrs and prefers to quietly observe the world around her.
Rescued from a nearby colony, Dora has come a long way since her feral beginnings. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion.
She adores her runty little brother Barney and proudly takes on the role of Big Sis and protector. If you’re open to adopting two kitty babies, they’d make a wonderful pair.
Dora loves pets, treats, and quiet companionship. Everyone who meets her agrees—she’s really quite pleasant.
🧭 Personality: Curious, calm, and quietly affectionate
🐱 Bonded Buddy: Loves her brother Barney
🏡 Ideal Home: Patient, gentle, and ready to help her thrive

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
