My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dora
Dora has been with us the longest, and she’s more than ready for her forever home. She’s wonderful with all cats and kittens, but she does need a little time to adjust to her people. Once she feels safe, she purrs, leans in for affection, and truly wants to connect.
To help her continue the progress we’re seeing, Dora may do best starting out in a home without other cats or in a space where she can be separated from resident cats until she fully trusts her humans. With patience and a calm environment, she blossoms into a very sweet girl.
Dora has waited a long time, and she truly deserves a loving home where she can finally feel secure and adored.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
