My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there Cowboy!

Once in a while a dog comes along and is just such a unique combination that people stand up and take notice. That is Cowboy for sure! Cowboy is a 2-year old strikingly beautiful male border collie who weighs 55 pounds. He is a very sweet and loving dog that is always up for whatever is going on. He is essentially a high-energy lap-dog that just wants to be with his people.

Cowboy is housebroken and crate trained and knows some basic commands. Cowboy is getting long walks and running on the beach with the dogs in his foster home. He has an okay recall as he likes to stay close to the group he is walking with. His leash skills are not perfect but he is very smart and with more practice and training should come along nicely. He is so eager to please he is very fun to train!

Cowboy came in to the rescue exhibiting symptoms of anxiety. He has settled in nicely and is adjusting well with the routine that this foster’s have established for him. His ideal placement would be in a quiet home with experienced herding dog people who have the time and energy to take him on daily walks, runs, or hikes, and continue his training. He is ideally suited to a morning excursion where he can let off steam and afterward will come in the house and chill and cuddle. Cowboy also should not be in a home with young children as he does have herding instincts that he is working on curbing.

Cowboy is currently being fostered in Bandon, Oregon. He is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated and ready to find her forever home. If you are interested in Cowboy, please contact hunahapps@gmail.com or find our application here: https://www.herduneededahome.com/adopt-a-dog. Adoption fee $400.
