Sleek, strong, and full of charm, Apollo is a stunning short-haired black kitten who carries himself like a little panther—confident, resilient, and full of spirit!

He’s a playful and affectionate boy who absolutely loves belly rubs and will reward you with his loud, happy purrs. Apollo enjoys romping around with his brothers, chasing toys, and finding the best sunny windows to stretch out and bird-watch.

This social sweetheart adores other cats and is adjusting beautifully to the large resident dog in his foster home. Nothing fazes this brave little guy!

All of HALO's cats are available for adoptions have been spayed or neutered and up-to-date on their vaccinations.

All the animals are microchipped.

Dogs and cats receive a complete check by a veterinarian.

Go meet their pets

HALO's cats and kittens can be seen at Pet Food Express every Friday 4pm-7pm plus Saturday and Sunday 10am-1:30pm (except the third Saturday, we do not have an adoption event). Pet Food Express is located at 5829 Lone Tree Way B, Antioch, CA.

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
