2⃣ Rescue Story
* Duchi was living at the Gimje City Shelter along with his mother, #AdogsMoana, and his littermates #AdogsHanchi and #AdogsSechi. The shelter was crowded to the point of maximum capacity and they were at risk of euthanasia. Due to the extreme heat wave and spreading infectious diseases, they were quickly rescued.
3⃣ Basic Information
❗Is still a young puppy, so he may need training to fix separation anxiety, potty problems, biting, whining, destroying things, howling, barking, etc.
❗It is difficult to predict his grown-up size or shedding because his father is unknown.
* With People: Has a timid personality. Avoids new people at first, but shows careful curiosity once time passes and approaches first. Follows familiar people, but has an independent personality. Does not greet his foster family coming home, and stands still at the door, staring them. Does not come close to familiar people who are with strangers even when called.
* With Dogs: Shows curiosity towards other puppies. Tried to mount other friends during walks before, so we've prevented him from contacting with other dogs.
* Separation Anxiety: When Ieft alone, he eats treats and rests well in his favorite place.
* Potty Training: Is pottying indoors with a 90% success rate. Needs more training since he’s still a puppy. Prefer to relieve feces outdoors, and often marks and kicks back when going for a walk.
* Hygiene: Gets his toenails trimmed without fuss. Does like brushing, but it's okay if done while he is eating treats. Is a little nervous and tries to escape in the bath, but still gets it well. Does not like the sound of a dryer, so he gets drying with a fan. Hates getting his paws cleaned with towels after a walk. Getting training to fix it.
* Walks: Pulls on the leash during walks to do what he wants to do. Careful observation is necessary to prevent him from chasing at birds.
* Car Sickness: Didn’t show signs of car sickness when transported to his foster home.
* Nip: When getting his paws wiped with a wet towel, he resists a lot to the point of hurting people's hands. Getting constant training to fix it. As a teething puppy, he has been told to stop when nibbling on hands.
* Bark: Barks if people make a fense around him or don’t give him food quickly.
* Dislikes: Is scared of the vacuum cleaner. Sometimes shows signs of resistsnce when having his paws cleaned.
* Tricks: Has mastered ‘sit,’ ‘shake,’ and ‘wait’ before eating!

More about this rescue
ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.
Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.
In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.
Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
