Reeses is heartworm positive, but no worries at all—the shelter will cover the full cost of his treatment, so he’s just looking for a cozy home and a family to love him while he gets healthy.

Shelby Humane is an open intake facility in Shelby County Alabama. SH takes in over 5000 animals a year. We provide an adoption program, low-cost spay/neuter program, and low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics throughout the County. In 2018, we launched Shelby SafePet, which provides veterinary care and boarding to pets of domestic violence victims.
