Their adoption process

Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Please visit our website at https://operationfreedomride.com/adopt/ to complete our adoption application.
  2. Interview
    1. After your application is reviewed, a representative from Operation Freedom Ride will call you to conduct an interview.
  3. Approve Application
  4. Meet the Pet
    1. OFR wants to be sure you and a prospective pet are the best match. We set-up meet and greets at the foster home to make sure it's love!
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
  6. Pay Fee
  7. Take the Pet Home

Go meet their pets

Visit https://operationfreedomride.com/ and click "available pets" to see who is available for adoption.

Periodically we have adoption events around the greater Rochester, NY area; however, we largely rely on the application process to best match people/families with available pets and then set-up a meet and greet to make sure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption.
