My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Barney!

Barney is handsome guy who originally was found as a stray that was wandering for several months. This 2 year old young man has become a master mouse hunter during his time abroad (ie. outdoors). He is quite scared and shut down in the shelter environment at the moment, but we saw him open up to show more of his personality in a foster home.

With dedicated playtime, we believe Barney can become a wonderful indoor-only cat where he can be warm and stay safe. However, we are open to finding a home that can also give him safe dedicated time out of the home as an indoor/outdoor cat. For kitties that spend time outdoors we recommend additional precautions, such as a regular flea/tick preventative, dewormer, etc.

In his foster home he lived with two other cats that he coexisted with well but he’d sometimes a bit of a jealous bully when it comes to food or attention. We are unsure how Barney feels about dogs or children. Our adoption team can always discuss slow introductions with other animals in the home.

Barney is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and was given a monthly flea/tick preventative.

If you’re interested in Barney feel free to reach out to us with questions at 920-733-1717, adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or stop in during our open hours.
