My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Vega! 🖤

Vega is a spunky, playful girl with a mischievous streak and a soft, snuggly side. She was found in a Napa Auto Parts parking lot trying to hotwire a car (or maybe just looking for a warm engine to nap on), and she’s been charming everyone ever since.

She loves to play and explore, but once she’s gotten her energy out, she is more than happy to curl up for a cozy nap. Vega can be a little shy at first and would appreciate starting out in a smaller, quiet room while she gets used to her new space. Once she feels safe, she warms up quickly and enjoys pets, cuddles, and attention from her people. She is easily won over with treats and will purr and ask for pets, but her instinct will be to find a place to hide until she settles into her new home. We don’t think it will take her long at all to find her routine though!

Vega has not met dogs yet, but she does great with other cats. She must be adopted with another Trash Cat or into a home with a friendly resident cat. She would also do well with older kids who are patient and can give her time to settle in at her own pace.

Vega is about six months old. She is spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Apply to meet this playful little adventurer and give her the cozy, loving home she deserves.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
