My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Taz is that perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back charm — a cat who can chase a crinkle ball like a pro one minute and nap like a zen master the next. He’s an aspiring soccer star (seriously, his footwork with that crinkle ball is impressive) and a devoted foodie who never turns down a squeeze-up treat.

He hasn’t found anything he dislikes yet — life’s just too good! His unique “eyewear” (those dark lines from his eyes to his ears) makes it look like he’s always ready for a day at the office or a scholarly debate… right before he bolts off to chase his next toy.

Adorable, easygoing, and endlessly entertaining, Taz is ready to bring joy to your home.

Additional adoption info

We don't have a facility, so we screen applicants thoroughly before we set up a meet and greet. We conduct a vet check, reference check and a home check. We typical set up the meet at the adoptive home so the home check can be completed at the same time. If both parties agree the pup is a good fit we complete the adoption agreement and accept the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

We are tackling the problem one animal at a time. Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue is a St. Augustine, Florida-based 501(c)(3) supporting adoption, spay and neuter, and responsible care of animals. Along with education, outreach, and adoption and fostering programs, Ayla’s Acres also maintains a 45-acre sanctuary where “unadoptable” animals may live out their lives with peace, love, and dignity.
