Rocco is a gentle and sweet little fella who was probably loved and cared for early in his life before he fell on hard times. He came in with a filthy coat, very thin, and dehydrated with sores on his paws, backside, and ears. We gave him a bath, started him on a refeeding plan, and got him to our vet. Rocco is on his way back to good health and is getting all of the love and kindness he deserves. Everyone loves his magnificent ears but check out his eyes too. They are greyish in color and kind and gentle to match his personality. Please consider making Rocco a part of your family to ensure he continues feeling loved.
UPDATE from foster parent:
Upon arrival into our home, Rocco clearly had no experience with grass, but now he runs and plays like a mad man! Rocco is housetrained; however, he LOVES to have your company. As long as you are outside with him, he will go. But don’t worry, he will return the favor. Wherever you go, he goes. Cooking? He’s there. Cleaning? He’s there. Watching tv? He’s there. Taking a shower? Don’t be surprised when his head pops in.
He has been learning how to be a pet and part of a family. Currently, he is fostered with three other dogs and does really well. Sometimes he gets a little jealous when he is not the center of attention, he just jumps into you, like a clumsy goofball. He is being fostered only with dogs, therefore we do not have information about interactions with cats.
