Meet Jake
Jake is a 3 year old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit built for adventure. Jake can be quite shy at first but he warms up quickly! At around 50 pounds, he’s the perfect mix of active and affectionate. He is also a protector, and an alert barker. Jake loves hard and attaches quickly to his person. Jake takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but once he does, he’s gentle, affectionate, and loyal.
This sweet, smart guy knows several commands including “sit,” “shake,” “come,” “sit up,” and “go lay down.” Jake walks beautifully on a leash, walks are truly his love language and 100% his favorite thing to do. He’s lived with a small dog in his foster home and is respectful when his play attempts are declined. He’s also been in another foster home with a medium sized dog he loves to play with and a cat whose boundaries he respects!
We think the best home for Jake would be with a playful dog, possibly a cat friend and definitely would love to have a fenced yard and someone active that will walk him daily.
If you’re looking for a faithful sidekick who will happily join you on life’s adventures and then snuggle up by your side at the end of the day, Jake might just be your perfect match.
