My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Myrtle aka Murt the turt is a female sulcata tortoise who is about 14 years old but only weighs 9.8 pounds. Myrtle is very social and and a great eater, currently chomping on greens, grass, and hay. Myrtle has been in a foster home with our rescue since October 12 and is ready to go home with her forever family!

Since Myrtle is a very large tortoise, she will need at least a 25'x12' enclosure. Outdoor pens must be secured into the ground at least 12 inches to ensure they will not dig and escape.

If you are interested in adopting Myrtle, please reach out to us at christinaspets@netzero.net or start an inquiry on this page.
Must be able to travel to the Palmerton, PA area for pick up.

Adoption fee: $250

Additional adoption info

All adopters submit an inquiry after finding a pet they are interested in. We will then go through any inquiries and ensure the animal will be going to a suitable home (photo proof of enclosure set up is required). From there, we will be in touch about setting up a time for potential adopters to meet the animal. Adopters will then sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and take the pet home.
