Meet Pudge
Breed: Terrier mix
Age: 6 years
Weight: ~16 lbs
Coat: Warm brown with auburn & white spotting
Pudge’s life hasn’t always been easy. He’s a scrappy little pup who once wandered the streets, surviving on grit and hope. His torn ear is a small, silent reminder of that past — a badge of hardship he wears with quiet strength. But behind those scars is a gentle heart ready to love deeply.
Now safe and learning how good life can be, Pudge is blossoming into the devoted companion he was meant to be. He’s affectionate, loyal, and wonderfully patient. He’s potty trained, though he may need a little coaxing when it’s cold or raining — he loves being warm, cozy, and snuggled inside.
Pudge may be small, but his capacity for love is big. He’s gentle, playful at just the right moments, and happiest when he’s close to someone he trusts. Once he feels safe with you, he’ll ask for all the pets and cuddles, gazing up with his big brown eyes.
He gets along with other dogs off leash and is working on leash walking and reacting to dogs on leash that he sees on walks (some he greets softly, others he may bark/react to — he’s learning!). He sleeps through the night and likely had some crate training in the past, as he seems comfortable relaxing in his crate for short stretches during the day. He has also discovered he loves a good game of fetch.
Pudge is brave, sweet, and ready to be cherished. He deserves a home that sees beyond his past and celebrates all the love he has to offer.
He/She is heartworm positive but has already received the ProHeart-12 injection and is currently undergoing treatment. Will need a recheck in nine months to ensure he/she is on the path to full recovery.
Adoption fee is: $375
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
