Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nilly is a quiet, reserved girl who’s still learning that people can be kind and gentle. She came to MHS after not getting along with other cats in her previous home, and while she’s still quite shy and undersocialized, we believe there’s potential for her to slowly come out of her shell with the right person. Nilly will likely always be more of an independent “spirit cat” — one who enjoys her space and may show love in subtle, quiet ways.
She’ll need a calm, patient home with no other cats (though a respectful, cat-savvy dog may be okay) and older kids who understand boundaries. Starting her off in a small, quiet room with cozy hiding spots will help her feel safe as she adjusts. Nilly has had a tough start, but with kindness, consistency, and time, she just might surprise you with how much she opens up — one gentle pawstep at a time.
