My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kaitlyn's backstory began by being dumped on the side of a county road and abandon by her owners along with her littermates to fend for themselves. A County Animal Control picked them up and took them to their facility. The county vaccinated them, cared for them and did their best for them, but one by one they did not thrive…except for Katie. This girl would not give up! She was at the county facility for 2 months and finally one day she got picked for adoption. Everyone thought it was a happy day! But it was short lived.... she was picked up on Saturday by her adopters and then surrendered on Monday to a different animal control facility. No reason besides one of the members of the family "didn't like her"… AAA decided to step in and help this special girl who has fought hard and made it against all odds! Katie is friendly with other dogs, sweet with people but can initially be timid and will need some time and patience. She is calm and quiet.

Additional adoption info

We require a virtual home visit via facetime because we are a Texas-based rescue. We transport our dogs to the Washington State area once the adopter has been approved. Atascosa Animal Allies works very hard to match the right dog with the correct adopter and make sure that both animal and human are living their best lives!
We are a small rescue in south Texas working hard to end overpopulation and the subsequent abandonment of unwanted cats and dogs. Please feel free to ask us for references!
