My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rosie — The 26-Pound Pocket Comedian

HOME LIFE
Hi everyone! I’m Rosie, three years old and 26 pounds of pure goofy goodness. Now that I’m healthy again, my home life is basically a full-time comedy show. I spend my days climbing inside the toy box, flipping it over, digging to the bottom, and pulling out every single toy like I’m on a treasure hunt. If my foster parents aren’t paying attention, I hop up on the couch with a toy in my mouth and gently tap them until they join my game. I play hard, nap even harder, and love short walks around the block and quick adventures to the park across the street. I’m silly, curious, dramatic, and extremely dedicated to keeping my household entertained.

PERSONALITY & QUIRKS
My personality is a mix of puppy energy and diva confidence. I’m fully convinced the world revolves around me — and honestly, I’m not wrong. I love making my people laugh, I follow them everywhere they go, and I have a flair for dramatic entrances and exits, especially when it comes to the doggie door. I’ll go outside… then immediately turn around and come back in because why not? I like to keep things fun. I am affectionate, expressive, and always ready to charm the room with my big eyes, tiny taps, and toy-delivery service. If you like content and taking photos I am your girl I will wear anything and pose my tail off!

MEDICAL HIGHLIGHTS
When I arrived at Freedom Frenchie Rescue, I was battling a very contagious pneumonia. I had to get X-rays, multiple vet visits, and almost four weeks of strong antibiotics. I wasn’t feeling great, but I fought through it like a warrior queen. Now I’m fully recovered, feeling amazing. My tummy has settled, I’m keeping my meals down, and my energy is back to full clown mode. I sleep quietly through the night in my crate and wake up ready to take on the world (and the toy box). My allergies suck (typical Frenchie) but I am currently on allergy meds hoping to be off one day with the right food and supplements to control that.

TRAINING & STRUCTURE
I’m a smart girl who learns fast, but I definitely need structure. Food is very serious to me, and I can guard it, but my foster mom is helping me work through it. I respond beautifully to confident humans who give clear direction and boundaries. When I know the routine and expectations, I shine. I’m crate trained, I’m potty trained, and I’ve learned how to use the doggie door… even if I use it in very dramatic ways. I like consistency, calm energy, and humans who are leaders, not pushovers. I like my foster brother Wally but Peanut is not a fan and we just do not get along sometimes but he is older and set in his ways and I like to protect my toys and food.

DOG SOCIAL LIFE
I have opinions about other dogs. Very strong opinions. I don’t mind some dogs, but I definitely don’t love every dog. My foster brother Peanut is three times my size and I still tell him the entire house is mine. He disagrees, so we are currently living on opposite sides of the gate. I can absolutely live with the right dog — someone calm, respectful, and not pushy — but slow introductions are a must. I would also thrive as the only dog in the home, where I can be the center of the universe like I know I was destined to be.

THE HOME I’M HOPING FOR
I’m looking for a home that understands structure, leadership, and laughter. I don’t want chaos; I want confidence. I want someone who appreciates a dog with personality, someone who loves to laugh, someone who enjoys a little spice mixed with a lot of sweetness. I bond deeply, I love hard, and I bring so much joy into a home. I’m not a background dog — I’m the star of the show. If you want a dog who will keep you laughing, keep you company, and keep your heart full, I might be your girl.

READY TO MEET ME?
If you’re ready for a little comedian with a huge heart, I’d love to meet you. I’m Rosie — healthy, sweet, goofy, and so ready for my forever family. Fill out an adoption application and let’s start our story together. You can apply for me at freedomfrenchierescue.org, my adoption donation fee is $1050.00. I am spay, vaccinated, and microchipped, currenty being fostered in Mesa, AZ.
