My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wynona is a gorgeous all-white beauty, with silky-soft fur and unique champagne-coloured eyes. She is shy at first, but with patience and a gentle routine, she learns to trust. Within a few weeks, she starts to show her sweet, playful, and affectionate personality in her own energetic way. Interactive play is the key to her heart and she responds to slow, calm approaches best. Wynona is an energetic and playful cat - give her a toy that flies, crawls, or skitters, and she becomes a joyful acrobat. She leaps, twists, and even plays “hockey” with anything that moves. Watching her come out of her shell is incredibly rewarding. Wynona is not a fan of being picked up, and slow, calm approaches are important. She can sometimes startle by sudden, direct movements towards her, but once she feels safe, she will sit beside you and purr while being gently petted. With time, she may grow into a lap cat, though for now she prefers to be just close by as you sit together. Wynona will happily sleep in your bed when invited or curl up in her own cozy bed. Just be mindful of toes under the blankets, because to her, they are moving toys waiting to be pounced on! Wynona’s eating habits are easy to manage. She likes wet food meals every morning and evening, with kibble left out for grazing. Catit treats, Temptations, and Cat Milk are her favourites and a great way to build trust. Wynona will thrive in a calm home with adults or older children who understand the importance of gentle interaction and patience. Wynona has benefited from the company of a friendly cat in her foster home and with a proper introduction, she might enjoy another calm, friendly cat, but she would also do well as the only animal in a home with someone home often.

Wynona came into care with her two brothers when her previous owner could no longer afford to keep them.

Wynona will dazzle in her forever home with you! She will blossom into a loving, playful companion. She just needs someone to believe in her. Will you be her forever person and provide her with her forever home at last?

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
