Meet Yaris! Don’t let Yaris’s shy exterior fool you—this little guy is full of personality and spunk once he feels safe. He struggles with his social skills at first, so he’s not a fan of meeting new people right away and wouldn’t be comfortable in a loud or busy home. He’ll need time and patience to settle into his new environment and trust his forever family.
But give him that chance, and Yaris blossoms beautifully. He becomes an adorable, playful kitten who loves his toys, enjoys wrestling with his foster siblings, and finds himself in all kinds of goofy little adventures. Recently, he’s developed a sweet fascination with his foster mom—he likes to sit nearby, watch what she’s doing, accept gentle pets, and even cuddle at the foot of the bed while keeping an eye on the TV.
For his special person, Yaris will be an amazing companion. He gains a lot of confidence from other cats and would thrive in a home with feline friends. He got to be really good friends with another foster kitten in his foster home but that kitten has been adopted. He is now working on breaking through the nervous exterior of another foster kitten. Play with me, play with me, play with me...PLEASE!!!!!!
Meet Yaris at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, from 12-4pm on Saturday or apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet another time. Get $50 off the adoption fee of a pair of kittens. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
