Hello! My name is Tansy! I am a fun-loving pup who LIVES for a good wrestle with other doggy pals, to be fully stretched out on the couch for a nap, and finding great sticks while on walks. I enjoy taking my time sniffing while out for a stroll and am continuing to learn good leash manners; I really like to wrestle, so sometimes I forget I’m on a walk and try to tussle with my foster sister. When I walk by myself, I do a really great job! I don’t really understand fetch, but I love to play tug. I mostly carry toys around in my mouth instead of chewing or destroying them. I have a lot of dog friends I get to see on a regular basis, and my foster mom even takes me out to the farm. You know what that means? That means I don’t try to run after the chickens or ducks when they are roaming around in the yard!
I’ve had a lot of fun with my foster mom, and I’m ready to find my forever home. I would thrive in an adults-only home that either has another playful dog and/or are committed to make sure I stay well socialized with other pets. Having my very own family rub my soft ears and kiss me all over my big head is what I dream about. I can’t wait to snuggle my humans for the rest of my life.

• Applicants must be 21 years or older and must be able to provide proof of age.
• Applicants must be within 50 miles of Memphis.

Approve Application
• Applicants are required to provide personal and vet references. We will be calling these references before approving the application.
3.
Interview
• Applicants will interview with the ALIVE Rescue President first. If approved, you will get to speak to the dogs foster family after.
4.
Home Check
• Applicants will allow an ALIVE representative to come to their home with the dog. At this time you will meet your potential new pup!
5.
Pay Fee
• Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis is $275.00 for an adult and $300 for a puppy.
6.
Sign Adoption Contract
• Once adoption is approved and fees are paid, applicants will sign our ALIVE Rescue adoption Contract to finalize the adoption.
7.
Take the Pet Home
• Welcoming your new family member is the last step, and the best step!
Additional adoption info
• We require an additional $75 training deposit at the time of adoption. You will be required to enroll and complete a training class with your new companion at one of our approved training facilities. Once ALIVE Rescue Memphis receives proof of the completed class, this $75 deposit will be refunded.
• Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided.
• All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed.
