My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌿 Meet Myrtle 🌿
2-year-old | 38 lbs | Standard Australian Shepherd

Myrtle is a delicate soul who’s just beginning to learn that people can be kind and the world can be safe. She’s crate and house trained (not a single potty accident!) and quietly observing how her foster siblings live the good life. An experienced Aussie home with another confident dog or two will help her continue to blossom — she learns best by following their lead.

While Myrtle is still shy and may always prefer a bit of personal space, every day she shows tiny sparks of trust — like joining in a little playtime in the yard. She isn’t ready to take treats from your hand yet, but with patience, consistency, and love, we know she’ll find her way toward connection.

Myrtle will need a secure yard and understanding humans who see her not for who she is right now, but for who she’s becoming — a gentle, bright light waiting to shine. 💛

Go meet their pets

After being approved by a team member, you'll be able to schedule a meet and greet with the pup that best matches your needs.

All of our pets are in private foster homes and many times the meeting will happen in a safe public location.

All animals are available to begin their home trials once the meeting has concluded and the rescue agrees to allow the pet to move forward to this stage.
