Rommy & Sophia are a bonded pair of pups looking for a home together! Rommy is the golden boy, around 10 years old. Sophia is the white and brown gal and is estimated to be around 7-8 years old. Together they bring out the best in each other! They love each others’ company and you can often find them lounging around and sleeping together. Sophia tends to be on the shy side but Rommy has helped her to become more brave.
Rommy is full of love and has a mission to be your shadow. He’s the definition of a “Velcro dog” - where you go, Rommy will be right behind you ready to offer moral support during every family meeting, snack run or Netflix binge. This little gentleman has a partially collapsed trachea, which just means walks are better suited with a harness instead of a collar. He is currently working on house training and lives in a foster home where a doggie door is used. While progress has been made, he's a short guy and the struggle to get through the dog door is real, so he'd just prefer that you open the door for him to preserve his dignity.
Sophia is more timid but with some time she will warm up to you. She would prefer to have a safe space to go whenever she’s felling overwhelmed. A crate or space under a piece of furniture will do, she isn’t too picky! She enjoys being outside in the yard, doesn’t mind the rain and is mostly house trained. She will use pee pads in the house if they are available to her. She gets very excited for food, so you’ll have to be careful not to overfeed her because she has a tendency towards love handles (that are honestly adorable).
Rommy and Sophia’s adoption fee is $500 and includes their spay and neuter, microchip, and current vaccinations and preventatives. Last Hope requires that all animals be keep as indoor pets only and that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccines and prevention. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. If you would like to meet them please submit an adoption application on our website, Adopthope.org.
