My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Daredevil in the Orange Suit If his brother Hue is the dramatic middle manager, Carlos is the caffeinated intern with no sense of fear.

Carlos is a small, wiry orange tabby with white who approaches life like it’s a full-contact sport. Whether he’s chasing his brother, sprinting across the room, or tearing up the cat wheel like a tiny orange speed racer on a mission, this boy only has one speed: maximum chaos. He’s brave, curious, and always the first to check out anything new—usually by launching himself at it.

He’s also a big fan of Churu and will gladly accept all the pets—just don’t try to pick him up (yet). When he’s not zooming, he melts into affection—rolling onto his side, purring loudly, and leaning in for scritches like it’s his part-time job.

Like his brother, he’s cat- and dog-friendly after slow introductions and would love a home with patient, playful guardians who understand both his zoomies and his heart. He’d be thrilled to go home with his brother Hue but would also do great with another playful cat who can keep up with his energy.

Basically, Carlos is bold, sweet, and full of life—a lovable daredevil wrapped in orange fur.

Carlos is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
