My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Casper looks like someone took a full-grown cat and hit the shrink ray — a perfectly proportioned little 5 month old gentleman in a tiny body. He’s jet black, with a white spot on his chest and underbelly, endlessly adorable, and full of love.

Casper lives to play. Crinkle paper? He’s there. Toy mice? Game on. Kickers? His favorite! But what really lights him up are other cats — he adores feline friends and immediately tries to make everyone his best buddy. He’s so small that adult cats often think he’s one of their toys, and he doesn’t mind one bit!

Despite his boundless energy, Casper is also gentle, affectionate, and sweet. When he’s not chasing toys, he’s curling up for cuddles or rubbing against your hand with pure trust.

If you’re looking for a kitten who’s equal parts goofy, loving, and full of life — a little black bundle of joy who will brighten your home and your heart — Casper is your guy.

Casper must go to a home with a playful cat companion or be paired with another kitten from the rescue. Casper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, negative for FeLV/FIV and has been treated for parasites.

More about this rescue

We are Karen and Tim Cox, a couple doing independent rescue work and colony caretaking in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. We practice TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return), rescue and adoption of friendly cats and socialization when community cats are ready to retire to the indoor VIP life. We partner with other rescuers in the Neighborhood Animal Rescue Network of Central Brooklyn ( NARN-CB) to improve the lives of as many kitties as resources allow us to!
