My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Biscuit! Biscuit is a beautiful female Agean tabby - white with patches of gray tabby, approximately 2 - 3 years old. Biscuit has had a rough time of it the past few years. She was abandoned when her "family" moved away and left her behind, abandonded on the streets. She had to find food, find a way to stay warm, everything. She was on the streets for approximately 2 years before someone called about her. She thought her worries were finally over, but once vetted, she was put on the streets to fend for herself again until a Good Samaritan took her inside to care for her.

Biscuit is looking for her forever home. She would be a great companion cat and loves to help you with paperwork, and at times snuggle when you are watching tv.  Currently, she is taking affection on her terms and healing from her ordeal on the streets, which is understandable. She enjoys being pet and picked up - again, when she feels like it - but it is obvious she likes people, as she she gravitates toward them and wants to be around them. She has just been through so much. From time to time she may nip to let you know she has had enough affection, slow and steady wins the race.

Biscuit is okay with dogs, as long as they are not too "nosey" and up in her business. Older dogs who stay to themselves and let her take the time to acclimate to them, she does well with. We believe this to be the same - EVERY new pet to a home should be acclimated slowly. Biscuit is learning to trust all over again, as animals were not kind to her while she was out there.

All that being said, she is a lovebug and is really trying. She loves to curl up a warm blanket, often putting the blanket in her mouth and getting it ready by making biscuits on it before laying down to relax in front of a sunny window for a cat nap, finally able to rest and not worry about predators and the like. Biscuit would make a great companion cat. She needs a quiet, low activity home with a person or a couple. Kids should be over 10 years old and be cat friendly, understanding that Biscuit needsto take things slow and easy.

Biscuit is dewormed, spayed, has her rabies and distemper vaccines, is combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay over $20 every year, we've done it for you. Do you "knead" a sweet biscuit maker in your family to help you with your holiday dinners? Then Biscuit is your girl! More about this rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to the cats that have been forgotten - strays that are shy and frightened, abandoned cats that once had a home and are trying to come into a home for shelter, cats that need a little more TLC than most to trust again.

These cats are struggling on our streets to be noticed, struggling for survival. They need our love, our compassion, our help.

They are the forgotten cats.
The cats that most rescues "don't have time for."

ALL cats deserve love.
ALL cats deserve a good home.
ALL cats deserve to be treated with respect and given care.

Given time, love, and nurturing, these cats become wonderful, loving housecats.

Our rescue is for the forgotten cats. In my home, they are known as the Shrinking Violets, and I have fought for their right to be loved, receive care, and the respect they deserve. Please join me with your support.
