This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 when picked up in TN
Local TN Adoption Only: Finn is a handsome 1 year old St. Bernard mix weighing 95 lbs. He came from a shelter as a stray puppy so we know nothing of his background. Finn is a shy, insecure boy who compensates with barks and growls to protect himself. He was enrolled in training to help him cope with being uncomfortable with new people and situations. He did well learning some obedience commands and new skills. However, he still remains insecure when confronted with new experiences. He immediately bonded with his foster mom who gets to see his gentle and goofy demeanor. After some slow introductions, he did very well with his trainer as well. TIME and PATIENCE are the keys to doing anything with Finn. It took him quite a long time to learn to get into the car by himself but he has finally mastered that. He finds comfort being in a crate in new places where he can pretend he's invisible. Finn would probably not be a great fit with cats unless they are extremely dog savvy. The resident cat is fine with him but he likes to push the boundaries at times. He has greatly enjoyed playing with other foster dogs. Finn is very well housetrained and sleeps quietly all night. He enjoys playing with toys and taking long walks in the morning. While Finn will never be a social butterfly, he is a charming and funny companion for those he has learned to trust. If you have plenty of patience and a quiet lifestyle, Finn might be what you've been looking for. He will do best with a fenced yard to play in and use up some of his energy. While he is not high energy, he is young and playful and enjoys the occasional zoomie. Please use our inquiry form for any further information.

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first!
Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
