Sunshine is a shy, adult cat currently residing in a shelter. His days are quiet, often found in the corner of his space, observing the world with wide, cautious eyes. Despite his fearfulness, there's a gentle soul longing for a peaceful home. Sunshine needs a patient and loving owner who understands the time it takes for a shy cat to adjust. Adopting Sunshine means giving him a chance to feel safe and loved, and in return, he will surely blossom into a loyal and comforting companion.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County.
