My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie is a sweetheart just looking for someone to cuddle on the couch and play fetch with. She’s a happy six year old that bounces back and forth between her back feet when you find the right spot to scratch.

She’s fully house and crate trained so she can be an easy addition to the home. She does have some fomo so she barks a little when people leave but she calms down quickly and she’ll be so happy to see you when you return.

Gracie does get excited when she leaves the house but walks well on a leash once she focuses. She is such a sweetheart and can be a loving addition to a family! Let us know if you would like to meet Gracie leave a message at 812-282-0071.

Come to the shelter to see all the cats and dogs that are up for adoption.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our shelter staff will review the adoption contract with adopters.

Pay Fee

Male dog adoption fee $100 Female dog adoption fee $125 Cat and kitten adoption fee $40

4.
Take the Pet Home

After our shelter staff goes over all the medical and micro-chipping information you will be ready to go!

Come meet our adoptable pets! Our shelter is located at 201 Willinger Lane in Jeffersonville Indiana. Our adoption hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday from 11-5 or Saturday from 11-3. We share events on our website and facebook page so make sure to follow us!

The Jeffersonville Animal Shelter is owned and operated by the City of Jeffersonville, and provides animal shelter services to all of Clark County through a series of inter-local agreements.

Our mission is to provide every animal that enters the shelter with the best care possible. We want them to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while awaiting their forever homes.
