My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wylie is a handsome mixed breed, weighing in at about 30 pounds and approximately 1.5 years old. This charming fellow was found running at large in Post Falls, and he’s now on the lookout for his forever home!

Wylie’s personality shines through his love for people of all ages, including children, and he even gets along well with cats! He’s currently in training to address some dog aggression issues, and he’s made tremendous progress. However, Wylie’s playful nature can be a bit rough; most dogs find his play style a little too much, which is why he would thrive best as the only dog in the household.

Wylie is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him ready to join your family. Plus, to help him adjust and continue his training, anyone who adopts Wylie will receive four free training lessons with the Canine Community Center.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to learn and grow, Wylie could be the perfect match for you!

If you are interested in giving Wylie the forever home he deserves, please contact his current foster at: (208) 659-5221

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
