Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Well, butter my biscuit and call me impressed—look who just strutted into town with all the confidence of a gunslinger who’s never missed a shot. Pearl’s curiosity knows no bounds. She approaches life like it’s a treasure hunt, every leaf a clue, and every new face an opportunity for friendship. Don’t let her confidence fool you, though—this adventurous gal is just as sweet as she is bold. When she’s not exploring every inch of her surroundings, she’s perfectly happy curling up for a good snuggle.
At just 6 weeks old and a whopping 5 pounds, this little Border Collie (potentially Lab) mix may be small, but she’s got a personality that could fill the entire saloon. Born in rescue after her mama, the legendary Belle Starr, showed up on the urgent list heavily pregnant, Pearl’s been making an impression since the day she opened her eyes. Pearl Heart is the kind of pup who doesn’t just walk into a room—she owns it. She’s clever, charming, and curious enough to keep you on your toes (and occasionally laughing at her antics).
Pearl Heart’s got the social skills of a politician and the charm of a professional con artist in a puppy body. She loves dogs—every single one of them. Big ones, small ones, ones who just want to nap and not be bothered—she’s convinced they all secretly adore her and just haven’t realized it yet. Kids? Oh, she’s a fan. Tiny humans are basically built-in entertainment, and Pearl thinks they’re the best invention since squeaky toys. She’ll happily follow them around like a four-legged sidekick, ready to join in whatever nonsense they’ve got planned. Fort building? She’s in. Snack time? Even better. She’s basically a babysitter with fur and no concept of personal space. And cats? She’s fully convinced they’re just weird, fluffy dogs that need some help coming out of their shell. She’d love to make one her new best friend, even if said cat has made it clear it’s not taking applications. Pearl’s approach to feline diplomacy is pure optimism—equal parts charm, persistence, and “I’m just gonna sit here until you love me.” In short, if it breathes and moves, Pearl wants to hang out with it. She’s the life of the party, the social butterfly of the prairie, and she’s taking applications for her next partner in fun—furred, feathered, or otherwise.
Now listen here, partner—before you saddle up and ride off into the sunset with Miss Pearl Heart, let’s have a little come-to-Jesus talk about what it means to raise a puppy. This ain’t her first rodeo, but it’s probably gonna feel like yours. Potty training? Yep, that’s part of the deal. Socialization is another big part of her journey—she’s gotta learn the ropes of polite society. That means meeting other dogs, new people, and maybe the occasional tumbleweed without deciding it’s an enemy combatant. You’ll be her guide through all of it, teaching her that not every sound requires a full-blown investigation and not every new friend needs to be greeted with an enthusiastic nose to the ear. She’s got the confidence to take on the world; now she just needs the manners to match. So grab your boots, roll up your sleeves, and get ready—because when Pearl rides into your life, you’re not just getting a dog… you’re recruiting your newest partner for life’s grandest adventure.
Pearl Heart will be ready to saddle up and head to her forever home around the first weekend of November, once she’s done practicing her puppy manners and outlaw swagger. If she’s stolen your heart faster than a train robber at high noon, mosey on over to our adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app and fill it out faster than you can say “yee-haw.” Once approved, we’ll pass it along to her foster family.
Pick-up will be in Oklahoma City, OK—so dust off those boots, grab your hat, and come meet the tiniest bandit with the biggest heart this side of the Mississippi.
