My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loofa is a sweet, playful foster kitty who has truly begun to blossom in a loving home environment. When she first arrived, she was very shy—often hiding when someone entered the room—but with patience, gentle encouragement, and play, her affectionate personality has come shining through.

Loofa has a medium energy level and gets the zoomies two to three times a day, followed by long, cozy naps. She loves interactive play, especially wand toys, and playtime was the key to helping her feel safe and confident. After just a few days, she began venturing out more, and within a week she was happily accepting head scratches. Now, she’ll curl up and nap right in your lap on the couch.

This lovely girl adores pets and head scratches and seeks out affection once she trusts you, though she does not enjoy being picked up. She feels equally comfortable with her foster parent and their son and enjoys sharing calm companionship with her people.

Loofa is still cautious with strangers and will hide when new people enter the home, but with time and consistency she continues to gain confidence. She has been introduced to two resident cats and is curious about them. While they currently coexist peacefully and are still getting to know each other, Loofa has shown promising signs for a multi-cat home with slow, thoughtful introductions.

Loofa has come a long way in a short time and continues to grow more confident each day. She is a gentle, loving cat who simply wants to feel safe and cherished. With patience, routine, and affection, Loofa will make a wonderful companion for a home ready to let her continue coming out of her shell.

Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
