My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

At just over a year and 65 pounds, young Rainey is a stunning collie mix looking for a home that can continue to work with his training and cultivate a bond with this playful silly pup!  Rainey was originally found abandoned in the countryside emaciated and dehydrated.  After some tender loving care he filled out and started to grow.  Rainey seems to think everyone is his friend and would well in a home with another fun loving dog to play with and burn some energy with.  Rainey is pretty terrified of car rides so he's not looking for a home where he is going to be expected to travel on a regular basis.  Rainey has been on some leash walks but he could use additional training.  He would love a fenced back yard where he could watch the comings and goings of the neighborhood or better yet race and chase with a friend!  Rainy does pretty good with his potty training and will let you know when he needs to go outside. Rainy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $300.00

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
