Meet Yeongbaek💗
💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_

1.) Health Condition
• Neutered: Yes
• Others: Microchipped; heartworm re-test scheduled for May 2026; dental scaling completed.

2.)Rescue Story
Youngbaek was waiting for a family at the Gimje City Shelter. The shelter was severely overcrowded, making it difficult for him to receive proper care. To prevent him from spending the long Chuseok holiday alone, Adogs urgently rescued him.

3.) Personality & Traits
• With People: He is cautious around strangers at first, but after an hour or two, his guard softens significantly. With familiar people, he gently leans in for pets and allows himself to be touched comfortably.
• With Dogs: Loves doggy friends and plays well with other dogs, often initiating play.
• With Cats: Doesn’t pay much attention to cats even when he sees them.
• Separation Anxiety: Unclear because he is living communally at the center. Will need basic training in a home environment.
• Potty Training: Currently only goes potty outdoors at the center; indoor training will be needed.
• Hygiene: Still unfamiliar with brushing and tends to run away when someone tries to brush him.
• Walks: Doesn’t resist or freeze, but sometimes waits until the person starts walking first before he follows.
• Car Sickness: Not fully confirmed, but appears not to have motion sickness.
• Biting: When he first arrived, he nipped out of fear, but he no longer shows any signs of nipping.
• Barking: Cries or yelps when someone tries to pick him up or put on a leash/harness.
• Dislikes: Doesn’t like being forced to be held or petted. However, when he comes to you on his own, he accepts touch. He gets scared when someone tries to put on a leash or pick him up, and he is generally fearful of unfamiliar spaces.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US and Canada when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
