Meet Yeongbaek💗

1.) Health Condition
* Spayed.
* Microchipped, heartworm to be retested in May 2026, and dental scaling completed.

2.) Rescue Story
* Yeoungbaek was waiting for her family to come at the Gimje City Shelter. It was difficult for Yeoungbaek to get adequate care as the shelter became more crowded. Adogs rushed to rescue her so that she wouldn't spend the long Chuseok holiday unattended.

3.) Basic Information
* With People: Is wary of strangers at first, but after an hour or two she relaxes a lot. When someone familiar tries to pet her, she leans her face in, stays still, and lets herself be handled comfortably. She’s a bit timid, but likes people in general.
* With Dogs: Likes friends and plays well with other dogs, often initiating play.
* With Cats: Doesn’t pay attention to them even when she encounters them.
* Separation Anxiety: Stays well alone without anxiety.
* Potty Training: Prefers to potty outdoors, so she only goes indoors when she can’t hold it anymore. Doesn’t mark indoors.
* Hygiene: Is not used to brushing yet, and runs away when someone tries to brush her. Is scared of the shower head, so we recommend using a bathtub or a bucket rather than spraying her in the shower. Is being trained to become familiar with a toothbrush.
* Walks: Has only recently been moved to her foster home, so she’s only gone on a short walk since she’s getting used to the new environment.
* Car Sickness: Not fully known yet, but she doesn’t seem to get carsick.
* Biting: When she first arrived at our center, she nipped out of fear, but now she doesn’t bite at all.
* Barking: At first, when someone tried to pick her up or put on a leash or harness, she yelped or squealed but she’s improved a lot and doesn’t whine anymore.
* Dislikes: Dislikes being forced to be petted or held, but she accepts touch when she approaches on her own for affection. Trembles a little out of fear when being leashed or picked up. Also tends to be afraid of unfamiliar environments. Is scared of loud noises, such as the blow dryer, vacuum cleaner, or shower head.
* Likes: Likes her kennel, so she rests well inside.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
