Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 11/20/25 to NorCal, OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Sadie to our trip for the right home!
💕 Meet Sadie 💕
Born August 18, 2024
There’s something unforgettable about Sadie — the way her eyes search yours, as if she’s looking for the piece of her heart she lost along the way. She’s gentle, soulful, and impossibly sweet. With her soft, hypoallergenic coat that grows in straight and silky like a Maltese, she’s not just beautiful on the outside, but tender through and through. She’s the kind of dog who makes you slow down, take a breath, and remember how powerful love can be when it’s given a second chance.
Sadie’s story is one of love, loss, and new beginnings. Her previous family adored her deeply, but when life took them back East to care for aging parents, they faced the heartbreaking reality of a strict no-pet policy. They reached out to us here to make sure Sadie’s heart would be safe, and her future filled with hope.
She has taken that loss to heart — she misses the family she once knew and, because of that, she’s learning how to trust again. She will need a patient, calm, and steady home, one that understands that love after loss takes time. Once she feels secure and loved again, Sadie blossoms into the most tender, loyal, and affectionate little girl.
Sadie is crate trained, though in new situations her comfort often comes from being close to her person — whether curled up beside them in bed or resting on her own bed nearby. We’ve learned that giving her this freedom helps her understand that when her people wake up, they’re not going to disappear like the last ones did. It’s heartbreaking to imagine the fear behind those eyes, but we’re confident that with time, patience, and love, her heart will heal. When it does, she will be an incredible companion to whoever is blessed to call her theirs.
She’s good with other dogs and has shown she enjoys gentle play and calm company. Still, it’s clear she misses being the “princess” — the cherished center of her family’s world. She shines when she knows she’s someone’s everything.
Sadie weighs 13 lbs, is full grown, and at a healthy weight. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She also had a full dental cleaning and ear cleaning at the time of her spay, ensuring she’s healthy, happy, and ready for her forever home.
If you believe your heart has room for this precious girl — to give her not just a home, but a promise — Sadie is ready to open hers right back. 💖
